How to apply for the Green Card?
First, find out if you are eligible for the Green Card.
Second, file the I-485 Form with USCIS and provide all the documentation required.
Third, the USCIS will review your application and if everything is correct they will schedule an interview with you.
Once your Green Card gets issued, it is valid for 10 years!
How do green card holders become citizens?
By naturalization, a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) may become a U.S. citizen.
A permanent resident must be at least 18 years old in order to be eligible.
Even if married to a U.S. citizen, the green card holder must have been a permanent resident for at least five years, or three years in the United States.
